Great North Run 2020
The Great North Run was devised by former Olympic 10,000m runner Brendan Foster and is the largest half marathon in the world. It takes place in September each year in North East England where participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields. 5 and 10K challenges are also run in conjunction with the main event. Places for this event are in high demand but if you are lucky enough to secure a place then you have a great opportunity to raise funds for The Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and the many children and people with disabilities that we help.
