Cambodia

It was in Cambodia, that our founder, Sir Bobby Charlton, first witnessed the devastation caused by landmines and the explosive remnants of war. It was this experience that led to his resolve to help make a positive impact on those living with the legacy of forgotten conflicts.

Today we have two active partnerships in Cambodia:

Exceed Worldwide:

We fund the provision and fitting of sustainable prosthetic limbs, restoring mobility, confidence and fulfilling lives to people suffering blast injuries and other disabilities. We also provide vocational training and small business grants to young people with disabilities.

Spirit of Soccer:

We fund life-saving work in the conflict zone on the Cambodia-Thai border, including football sessions in the refugee camp, which integrate Explosive Ordnance Risk Education activity (‘EORE’) for the children; it helps them learn about the huge risk and horrific consequences of unexploded ordnance. Ultimately it can save their lives.

We are proud to continue delivering on Sir Bobby’s mission through our ongoing work in the region today.
