The Beautiful Game tour
A unique fundraising and advocacy challenge led by trustee John Shiels in support of the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation.
After a lifetime dedicated to football, including his role as former CEO of the Manchester United Foundation, John is embarking on an extraordinary journey: cycling to all 88 professional clubs in England and 4 in Wales.
Follow John’s Journey
Throughout the tour, John will visit clubs and communities across the country, shining a light on the incredible work football organisations do beyond the pitch. From grassroots programmes and community outreach to charity initiatives that support vulnerable young people, clubs continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of thousands, often with little or no government funding.
The journey is also about advocacy. Using the insight and experiences gathered along the way, John will work to engage football’s decision-makers and highlight the urgent needs of many forgotten children and communities across the UK.
We invite football fans, clubs, businesses, and communities everywhere to follow John’s journey, support the campaign, and help champion the positive role football can play in building stronger futures.
