Continuing Sir Bobby’s Legacy in Cambodia

The Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation is proud to continue its vital work in Cambodia through a renewed partnership with Exceed Worldwide, focused on transforming the lives of young people with disabilities.

The charity Sir Bobby established in 2011 was the embodiment of his commitment to tackling the long-term consequences of conflict, particularly the devastating impact of landmines. Equally central to his vision was his unwavering belief in giving young people the best possible chance in life, regardless of their circumstances.

In 2025, the Foundation will support 15 young Cambodians with disabilities through access to education, vocational training and small business start-up grants. With guidance from Exceed, these individuals have chosen trades such as tailoring, hairdressing, mobile phone repair and motorcycle maintenance – practical skills that will help them earn a living, support their families and live with greater independence.

For many of these young people, opportunity has long been out of reach due to stigma, exclusion and poverty. This initiative offers more than training, it brings dignity, self-reliance and a path to a brighter future.
This renewed focus in Cambodia is not only a continuation of the Foundation’s longstanding humanitarian efforts in the region, but also a promise to the next generation that they are not forgotten.
